Get Involved
Get involved as a Resident or Community Group
We want to know what you think about nature and wildlife in your local area. What are your favourite places? How do you like to spend time in nature? And what birds, animals, and insects do you love to see?
By letting us know what is important to you, you’ll be helping to develop plans to make more space for nature in Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent and we’ll share your priorities and ideas with the organisations who look after local green spaces, nature reserves, and the countryside.
Whether you love watching the garden birds, enjoy an epic day exploring the peaks, your views on nature are really important.
Throughout 2024, we’ll continually update this page with engaging activities and surveys designed to help you actively shape the LNRS. In the meantime, click here to check out what you can do at home and in your community to support nature.
Get involved as a Farmer or Landowner
By collaborating with farmers, land managers and local organisations, we want to propose practical and achievable steps to go further for nature.
Those invested in the local environment are encouraged to contribute to the strategy, fostering local leadership and expertise for a thriving, vibrant landscape. We know that LNRS must be tailored to land managers’ businesses, showcasing opportunities on your land, aligning with priorities like income sustainability, and integration with existing tools.
