Local Voices Shaping the Future: Community Helps Develop Nature Strategy
We recently held our first engagement event to help us develop a Local Nature Recovery Strategy for Staffordshire and Stoke-On-Trent. The day involved a morning of community workshops and an afternoon of fun nature activities for all the family.
It was well attended, with representatives from local organisations, community groups and nature enthusiasts, all gathered together at the Staffordshire Wildlife Trust Wolseley Centre.
We talked about the importance of nature recovery, looked at the progress we are making so far in Staffordshire, and discussed how we can all get involved in making a positive impact for our county.
Through group activities we captured ideas for the future, identified priorities and received valuable feedback to take into the preparation of a strategy.
It was a fantastic day focused on celebrating and preserving the natural environment in our area.
Watch this space as we will be sharing a short video with highlights from the event soon!
We are also planning similar engagement events in the near future.
